My Story

Hello,
My name is Don Rouze and I'd like to share with you a little bit about how I got into the world of leather craftsmenship.
I started this journey the oposite of how one would normally approach a new trade.
I went about learning how to dye things prior to learning how to make them.
I am an avid motorcycle rider and what promted me to make the move into leather working was the color of my leathers on my bike.
They were this ugly tan and it just did not fit my image of what they should look like on a black frame.
I took awhile to decide on a dark red which I felt would contrast beautiful to the frame.
After spending well over a year learning the technique of dyeing,
I felt brave enough to make the move on my bike.
The end result is nothing short of spectacular.
I then decide if I can do this then maybe I can make something.
I started out small with keyrings and small wallets.
This grew into what is now a full blown custom leather craft business.
I now take the drive and passion I learned not only as a Veteran but as a musician and my love of the arts to bring my love of the craft to custom work for the customer.
THANK YOU,
And I hope to be able to build something for you that you will enjoy for a lifetime.
